In the book "With Head, Heart and Hand" (1988) Kelly and Sewell have written action rules for protest: Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have. Never go outside the experience of your own people. Go outside the experience of the enemy. Make the enemy live up to their own set of rules. (they can't do it any more that the christian church can) Ridicule is a persons most important weapon. A good tactic that drags on to long becomes a drag. Keep the pressure on. The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. Develop operations that will maintain a constant pressure on the opposition. If you pish a negative hard and deep enpough, it will go through to it's counter side. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Pick a target freze it, personalise it. Find out who the enemy is, where the opposition will be and thoroughly understand the actions and reactions of the enemy. Find out who is with you, who will pay the price and exclude all others. Don't get mad get even. Think carefully about a demand and up it, so that your real request assumes the characteristics of the completely reasonable. Those who worry about means and ends, end up on their ends without any means. Hate defeat. Winning is the name of the game. Approach people with full knowledge of their role and their power. It's a political argument or it's an economic arguement. Page 34. Action Rules For Revolution. The enemy advances, we retreat. The enemy halts, we harrass. The enemy tires, we attack.
