will give their perspective on the media conditions in Europe,
the Asia-Pacific region and Australia

DIY
Culture Jam : home-grown tools and tactics for mental self defence.

Different
ways different people are using creative and alternative ways
of getting the message out.

| |
Outing
the Issue : media strategies in public campaigns.
|
| |
Representatives
from various campaigns will discuss how they've used utilised
the media and its techniques, the problems faced, and solutions
found.
|

Tackling
the Constraints : playing the game changes the rules.
|
| |
Speakers
will discuss some of the current obstacles to independent media
expression and present strategies of tackling the constraints.
|

| |
The
forum sessions for the day are described above. There will be plenty
of time for questions and discussions. The fully interactive day begins
at 10am so please arrive well in time. The doors will be open from
9:15am.
The Trades Hall is on the corner of Victoria and Lygon Streets. The
entrance is on Victoria Street. It's a 15 minute walk from Melbourne
